Welcome
Every dog and family is different. Diamond in the Ruff offers several training options based on your dog’s age, current behavior, and the amount of hands-on training you want to do at home. Start with a free evaluation so Robert can help you determine the right program.
Board & Train
— a two-to-five-week program with a lesson on drop off and a follow up lesson at your discretion as needed. Cost is the same weather your dog stays two weeks or five weeks. I want them going home as soon as they are ready.
Requirements your pup must be comfortable in a crate as well as 80% potty trained
In-Home Training
— Four guaranteed lessons with you doing a minimum of 20 minutes of homework each day. As long as you're doing your homework, I, as the teacher, will know. if your dog is learning slowly or being stubborn you’ll get additional lesson as needed at no cost.
This program is available in Nassau and Suffolk counties only
Therapy Dog Course — preparation for owners and dogs working toward a therapy dog test.
Dog Boarding
— available for dogs and puppies that have completed a Diamond training program.
Is a member only club for dogs who have completed out board and train program. It is also available to select dogs who have completed our in home program and has completed evaluation prior to boarding that they are comfortable in a crate.
A two to five week program, depending on how the dog learns. The price remains the same.
Available for dogs 3.5 months old and older.
We pick up your dog and return them to you fully trained.
When your dog returns home, you receive a one-hour private lesson.
After working with your dog for one to two weeks, you may schedule an additional follow-up visit at your discretion.
Every dog receives a graduation video.
Available from Montauk to Manhattan.
Exclusively for dogs who have completed our board and train program.
As well as to select dog who have completed our in-home training program (a phone evaluation needed)

Four guaranteed lessons with you doing a minimum 20 minutes of homework each day. You may do more lesson but there must be an hour of rest in between the lessons.
If your dog is learning slowly or being stubborn, it’s not a problem - it’s common! You’ll get an additional lesson at no cost, provided you’ve been doing a minimum of 20 minutes of homework each day. Keep in mind, I’ll know if you’ve been doing your homework—I’m a teacher, after all!
